This series, composed of 16 analog images, was presented in December 2023 at the solo exhibition Reforma, which took place in an empty house located at Reforma 58 in the San Ángel neighborhood of Mexico City. The house, built in the 1960s by architect Augusto H. Álvarez—renowned for major works such as the Torre Latinoamericana and Mexico City’s airport—became the backdrop for this project.

This work explores the dichotomy between architecture (as an empty space) and my photographic interpretation of it. My artistic intention is to interpret, and at times invent, the traces of time embedded in this place, as a way of appropriating memories and moments that do not belong to me. The framing suggests an intrusive, almost voyeuristic gaze, capturing the remnants of moments left behind by former residents and the subtle signs of a new family’s arrival.
